 BANYU ANGET

You've never visited the hot springs or also popularly known as the hot springs? Well, you would be familiar with the distinctive smell of sulfur. Hot spring is synonymous with this odor. But unlike Hot Springs Tirto Husodo in Pacitan. There is absolutely no smell of sulfur that could interfere with the water to enjoy a warm soak.
Hot springs, better known by the name of the Baths Banyu Anget by the surrounding community is located about 15 km north of downtown and is relatively easy to reach. The streets are relatively wide and flat so the car would easily pass through. Although located quite a distance, this resort is equipped with adequate supporting facilities, including parking space. From the parking lot we still have to walk up the path with some stairs flanked by shady trees. Forest at the foot of Mount Screen is still natural and awake. YogYES even had time to see some tail squirrel playing with fun in the trees.
There are 4 pools in the baths, where the hot springs pools, 2 adult swimming pools and children's pool. There is a prohibition to enter or touch the water in the main pool as the temperature is hot enough. Hot water is channeled to other pool in 3 and mixed with cold water to the temperature according to the temperature of the human body. Interestingly, no sulfur smell at all!
The smell of sulfur sting that often appears in hot spring is the smell of hydrogen sulfide produced by anaerobic bacteria when water is heated naturally in the bowels of the earth. This substance is then carried to the upper surface of the ground, except in some cases when levels of hydrogen sulfide formed is not enough or when these substances are oxidized by Oxygen before reaching the surface. Banyu Anget bath is one example. The absence of the smell of sulfur is of course will make you more comfortable in warm bath water to enjoy a relaxing and this could be blood circulation. Really fit to end the day after a full day surfing or along the beaches and caves in Pacitan.
